VOLUNTEER

The No More a Stranger Foundation relies on committed volunteers to provide needed services to immigrant, migrant, and refugee clients. Because of the training required to volunteer and the significance of the service offered, we ask volunteers to make a six-month commitment.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English

At the No More A Stranger Foundation, we strengthen communities by providing free legal services in immigration matters to people who wouldn't otherwise have access to legal representation. Part of our service includes translation of evidence documents, such as birth certificates, that are required for immigration applications. Our translation team is made up of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, and we work together to share knowledge and provide the best quality translations for our clients.

We ask our translators to join us for a minimum of six months and attend, either virtually or in-person, a minimum of one translation lab. Many translators volunteer for much longer and participate regularly in our labs.

If you would like to join our team of volunteer translators, please fill out the application below here. If you have questions, contact us at translation@nomaslegal.org.
